It's been a little while.
I've really thrown myself into work lately, and I haven't spent a lot of time doing anything of a 'recreational' matter in a good long while.
I started working on some figure again a while back, and I am still working on them slowly, but finding the motivation to paint has been difficult, I think mostly because I don't have a proper space to work on them. I have to finish clearing off that desk to that it will be more user friendly.
Other than that, it has just been really hard to find the time for my hobbies lately. Work is still pretty all consuming, even though I am spending less time at the store than I was previously. I've down to just over 40 hours a week now. Four months ago that number was closer to 70 hours, and my patience with everything was stretched pretty thin. The benefit of having a good team in place though, is that I can spend less time at the store, and still get the results we were looking for. The problem with having a fairly green team however, is that even though I am not there, I still spend a lot of time on my phone, either talking to the staff, or talking to customers, either via voice or SMS. Some days it seems like 24/7.
I am finding that better balance in life that I have been craving for a long time though, things are better, work is not as all consuming as it was, and I definitely don't stress about it as much as I used to. It's wonderful.
And it's only going to get better in the new year, I just have this feeling.
